Privacy Policy

BrandPin ("BrandPin", "we", "us", "our") is an AI visibility and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) tracking platform operated by The Social Lions. These terms apply to your use of BrandPin at https://brandpin.ai and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BrandPin, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, organisation name, and password (stored only as a salted hash).
• Brand and scan data: the website URLs and brands you choose to track, the buyer queries we generate, and the AI-engine answers and metrics produced by your scans.
• Usage and device data: log data, session tokens, and basic technical information needed to operate the service.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers.
• Communications: details you submit through contact or "get help" forms (name, city, company, website, phone, email, and your message).

2. How we use your information

• To provide the service: run scans, generate queries, and display metrics and reports.
• To process subscriptions, token purchases, and billing.
• To provide support, respond to enquiries, and send service-related communications.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the platform.

3. Third parties and sub-processors

To deliver the service, we share limited data with:

• AI engine providers (for example OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic) - your generated queries are sent to these engines to measure how AI answers mention your brand.
• Razorpay - to process payments.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers - to run the application and database.
• Email/communication providers - to send notifications and respond to leads.
• Google Analytics - to measure how the site and app are used so we can improve them.
• Google Ads - to measure which of our advertisements led to a visit or a signup, and to show ads to relevant audiences on Google properties.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel - to measure the performance of our advertising and to show ads to relevant audiences on Meta platforms.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and scan data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and as required to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing digital@thesociallions.in.

7. Cookies and sessions

We use a session token to keep you signed in. We also use first-party Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site and app are used, for example which pages are visited and for how long.

The same Google tag also carries a Google Ads destination across brandpin.ai, including signed-in pages. This is an advertising and measurement cookie: when you arrive from one of our advertisements, it records the click identifier from the link you followed so that a later signup or purchase can be credited to the advertisement that led to it, and so that we can show ads to relevant audiences on Google properties. It records the page you visited and how you arrived. It does not send Google the contents of your scans, your tracked queries, or the AI answers we store for you, and our page addresses do not contain your brand or account identifiers.

We additionally use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel across brandpin.ai, including signed-in pages. This is an advertising and measurement cookie: it tells us which of our ads led to a visit or a signup, and it lets us show ads to relevant audiences on Meta platforms. It records the page you visited and how you arrived. When you buy a plan or a token pack, our server also reports the purchase to Meta (the amount and the currency) so the advertisement that led to it can be credited. So that these events are credited to the right person, we send Meta a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your email address instead of the address itself: Meta cannot read your email address from that hash, only compare it with hashes it already holds. We never send Meta your email address in readable form. It does not send Meta the contents of your scans, your tracked queries, or the AI answers we store for you, and our page addresses do not contain your brand or account identifiers.

You can block any of these with your browser settings or a content blocker, and the service will still work.

8. Children

BrandPin is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
